Our HYDRO Collection is built for the water…who better to partner with on the design of a limited-edition hat than our favorite waterman and melin Fam, Mark Healey.
Growing up on the North Shore of Hawaii, Mark has spent a majority of his life in and around the ocean - from fishing, surfing, and diving, he knows what it takes to be built for the water. When we originally partnered years ago he was chasing a specific shape that he felt would fit his larger sized melon. Along came the Shore - a shape that takes inspiration from both the A-Game and the Odyssey but with it’s own unique fit.
This new shape boasts a wider visor and deeper fit than found in your A-Game. The front panels are a more rounded shape, not quite as flat as the Odyssey but not as sloped as the A-Game. With the fit established, Mark used inspiration from his amphibious life to put the finishing touches on the hat. The exterior print is a nautical map overlaid on camo and adorned with his Healey Water Ops logo. The swell chart from the last Eddie Aikau Invitational is shown on the interior lining. The blue undervisor is an ode to the ocean and the Skipjack Tuna that he often catches. And of course, it features all our HYDRO performance tech to keep up with Mark in and out of the water.
